I’m writing
this from a remote outpost in the Amazon wilderness. This trader has a power
supply and it’s there that I’m able to recharge the battery on Hector’s laptop
computer: I make a trip here once a fortnight to get some essential supplies;
the rest of the time I live in the jungle, alongside the natives, who have
slowly adjusted to my presence, although they still tread fearfully around me..."
